INFOTECH - January 2007

The January 2007 edition of Infotech magazine contains reviews of two new products.

The talking point of Sight Village 2006 was undoubtedly the KNFB Reader, comprising a Personal Data Assistant and a camera, the purpose of which is to serve as a portable device for reading print material. We present a comprehensive review of the KNFB Reader and test it reading a variety of documentation.

Talks 3.10 has been released, which interprets the contents of the screen output on Series 60 third generation phones.

An example of one of the newer phones onto which the latest release of Talks can be installed is the Nokia N91. The N91 is a "music phone", and Steve Nutt of Computer Room Services demonstrates how Talks interacts with the Podcasting client and the music player.
